I would like to recommend the following website : http://www.canadasilentnomore.com/. In particular, I would like to point out the large-spanning, comprehensive review that Canada Silent No More has put together regarding the mental and physical effects related to legal abortion. The ‘Facts and Stats’ section of the website, at first glance, is daunting and discouraging. However, it is important to note that these discomforting figures represent the truth about the terrible effects abortion can have on women. Given that many people base their decisions on ‘what the research shows’, it is impressive to see that an organization has devoted the time and energy to sift through a massive pile of research studies in order to inform women on various mental and physical effects of abortion.
When it comes to counseling women who are debating an abortion, I believe the best approach is to offer love, support, understanding, and resources (both emotional and financial, whenever possible). Nonetheless, attention also must be drawn to the scientific evidence that warns against abortion. The medical community cannot continue to shun its eye from the negative impacts of abortion. Many pro-choicers claim that pro-lifers are inventing the idea of a “post-abortion syndrome”…but if that’s really the case, why do numerous scientific studies show us otherwise? If the risk of breast cancer doubles after one abortion, and a 1997 government study from Finland showed that “women who abort are approximately four times more likely to die in the following year than women who carry their pregnancies to term”, shouldn’t women considering abortion be at least notified of these disastrous health consequences?
Let me re-iterate: the abortion debate is fundamentally about the life of the fetus. What we are defending, here at Quebec Life Coalition, is the unborn child’s right to life and protection. In addition to killing the lives of children, abortion also destroys the lives of many women (and men). In sharing the cited studies on http://www.canadasilentnomore.com/, what I seek is to spread greater awareness of the evils of abortion- but the primary wrong of abortion is that it kills a new human life- the fact that it hurts so many women too reveals the aftermath of actions that go against God’s love for all of us.
25 women are walking from Montreal to Ottawa and the Supreme Court – 222 km, not only to raise awareness about Canada having the infamous distinction of being one of the very few countries with no abortion laws (the other two are China and North Korea), but also in honour of all the women, children and men hurt by 25 years of unrestricted abortion. This is the start of day 8, and Tasha, one of the 25 walkers, shares what is on her mind!
Faytene Grasseschi joins Brian Lilley from Sun News to discuss her upcoming walk from Montreal to Canada's Supreme Court
Pro-life activist Faytene Grasseschi joins Brian Lilley from Byline (Sun News) to discuss her upcoming walk from Montreal to Canada's Supreme Court in Ottawa to protest 25 years of the absence of any law regulating abortion in Canada. Altogether 25 women will walk on April 28 in honour of all the women, men and children hurt by abortion. They will walk from the Morgentaler clinic in Montreal to the Supreme Court of Canada. Faytene also talks about gender-based abortion, the fact that many women are coerced into having an abortion, the prolife movement in Canada and the upcoming March for Life in Ottawa.

Between April 28 and May 11, 2013 twenty-five women, each representing one year since there has been a total legal void in Canada on abortion, will prayer walk from Montreal to the Supreme Court of Canada in Ottawa, a trek which will take each of them over 14 days to accomplish.
Each of these women has a story and a personal reason for walking.
Some will be walking in light of their own abortion story. Some will be walking in light of the abortion story of their mothers, sisters and friends. Some will simply be walking for their generation.
The vision of this walk is to raise awareness and give women who have been hurt by abortion their voice back.
The motivation of this walk is simple. It is love.

The irony of Obama's words in this video is amazing.
In the spring of 2013 twenty-five women - each representing one year since there have been no legal restrictions on abortion in Canada at tax payers' expense - will silently prayer walk from Montreal to the Supreme Court of Canada in Ottawa.
Each of these women will have a story.
They will be walking for their own pain with abortion.
They will be walking for the pain of their mothers, sisters and friends.
They will be walking for their generation.

A friend emailed me the following excerpt from an article written by Jonathon van Maren entitled "The Reformed Case for Pro-Life Action." The full blog appears here.
It seems that there is an increasingly prevalent attitude among Christians that it is somehow wrong to ‘offend’ people, and that since pro-life activism will inevitably offend people, it should therefore be avoided.
First, I must point out that a message that involves telling the culture at large that they are murdering their children isn’t going to be popular. If it was, we wouldn’t have the problem.
Second, it is an extremely un-Christian and un-Reformed idea that just because our message of truth might not be welcomed by the world, and thus persecution may result, that we should avoid it. If Christians are so at peace with those who believe that killing unborn children is permissible that offending them is “un-Reformed”, it is perhaps necessary to take a second look at this unholy alliance and consider whether or not it is right in the eyes of God who values all life created in His image.
If churches are indeed the consciences of nations, and those consciences have fallen silent, we can scarcely be surprised that things have gone horribly wrong.
The Bible demands that we protect our unborn neighbours.
Our Reformed heritage shows us that our forbearers did not feel that it was in any way sinful to oppose evil in the public square.
Abortion is the greatest evil in our society, an evil where the innocent blood of millions cries out for justice. We cannot withdraw ourselves from our biblical mandate laid out with such clarity in Scripture to protect unborn children with weak excuses that ignore the demands of Scripture and the examples and writings of our forefathers. Hence, Christian pro-life advocates should not have to defend their action. Apathetic Christians should have to defend their inaction
Austin Ruse, President at C-FAM (Catholic Family & Human Rights Institute) sends us the following message about Melinda Gates and those with whom she associates - i.e., population controllers.
Have a read and, if you are in agreement, follow through and sign the open letter.
I did; # 8071 who had done so.
June 21, 2012
In just a few weeks billionaire Melinda Gates is hosting a Family Planning Summit in London. She is doing this with the largest abortion providers and promoters in the world, the UN Population Fund and International Planned Parenthood Federation.
They say they want to raise $4 billion to promote contraception among poor women. This is population control plain and simple, population control aimed at poor dark-skinned women.
We have tried to get pro-lifers registered for this summit so there can be a counter voice…
BUT WE ARE BEING SHUT OUT BY PLANNED PARENTHOOD!
Even though our voices will be shut out, we will not be silenced.
I ask you to read the OPEN LETTER TO MELINDA GATES and if you agree that this is a dangerous conference and if you agree that pro-lifers should not be shut out, sign the letter!
We hope to gather 100,000 signatures from all over the world and we will hand deliver them to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation headquarters in Seattle, Washington and/or directly on the steps of the Family Planning Summit in London on July 11th!
BUT WE HAVE ONLY TWO WEEKS TO DO IT. PLEASE ACT NOW!
Please read the OPEN LETTER TO MELINDA GATES, sign it, and then send this email to everyone in your address book. The only way this will be effective is if this email and this petition go viral all over the Internet.
So, help us say NO to Melinda Gates. No abortion. No abortion groups. No coerced family planning.
Sign the OPEN LETTER TO MELINDA GATES and send this email to all of your family and friends, TO YOUR ENTIRE ADDRESS BOOK.
We will deliver all signatures to Melinda Gates office in three weeks!
Austin Ruse, President, C-FAM New York/Washington DC
PS We have only two weeks to get this done. Please act fast, act now, sign this letter and send this email to everyone you know!
