Australian Family Outraged At Abortion Horror: Investigation After Wrong Twin Killed At 32 Weeks!

MELBOURNE, Australia, November 23, 2011

An Australian mother expecting twin boys was told by doctors one of the babies had a serious congenital heart defect and she decided to have him aborted. She had already named her two boys; however surgeons on Tuesday tragically killed the healthy twin by a lethal injection into the heart. The mother then had an emergency caesarean section and the sick child was terminated in a three-hour operation.

The Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne would not confirm details, but said in a statement: "The Royal Women's Hospital can confirm a distressing clinical accident occurred on Tuesday. This is a terrible tragedy and the hospital is deeply sorry for the loss suffered by the patient and her family. We are conducting a full investigation and continue to offer the family and affected staff every support."

Hospital sources said the ultrasound clinician performed the procedure because "she looks at ultrasounds all day". Nevertheless, she made a mistake which had fatal consequences for two baby boys and left a family heartbroken.

The Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne apologized by claiming that “the ultrasound clinician checked three times before the “termination” because she didn't want to make a mistake. But if the hospital said it had followed correct procedure, then how on earth could this happen? Was the mother pressured into aborting the sick child rather than letting nature take its course?

This horrific accident once again underscores the fact that there is no such thing as a “safe abortion” which is really nothing but a thinly veiled euphemism for the murder of an innocent child.

The Herald Sun now believes the family is considering legal action against the Hospital.

Canada's assisted suicide laws challenged in B.C. Supreme Court

According to Canada's laws, it is illegal to counsel, aid or abet a person to commit suicide. The offence of having done so carries a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison. The last time, Canada's laws regarding assisted suicide were challenged was in the infamous Sue Rodriguez case, when she took her request for a doctor-assisted suicide to the Supreme Court of Canada. The Supreme Court ruled against her and Sue Rodgriguez found herself an anonymous doctor who was willing to assist her in defiance of the law.

Now a 63-year old B.C. woman with a fatal neurodegenerative disease will take her case to the B.C. Supreme Court today and ask them to overturn Canada's laws and grant her wish to a doctor-assisted suicide.

Gloria Taylor is suffering from ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease and wants to have the laws changed so she can die before she becomes incapacitated. Incidentally, Taylor is one of five plaintiffs in the case and their lawyers plan to argue that Canada's Criminal Code provisions are unconstitutional.Gloria Taylor

If doctor-assisted suicide becomes legal, it will certainly set a dangerous precedent where the criteria used to determine who "merits" a doctor-assisted death will follow more and more of a "slippery slope" and where a terminal illness is not necessarily the only admissible reason to end one's life.

Some U.S. states and four European countries have decriminalized euthanasia with disastrous consequences. As LifeSiteNews reported on October 24, the Royal Dutch Medical Association now interprets the 2002 Euthanasia Act as to include "mental and psychosocial ailments" such as "a loss of function, fatigue and loss of autonomy" as acceptable criteria for a euthanasia request.
A terminal illness thus is no longer requirement.
