Australian Family Outraged At Abortion Horror: Investigation After Wrong Twin Killed At 32 Weeks!

MELBOURNE, Australia, November 23, 2011

An Australian mother expecting twin boys was told by doctors one of the babies had a serious congenital heart defect and she decided to have him aborted. She had already named her two boys; however surgeons on Tuesday tragically killed the healthy twin by a lethal injection into the heart. The mother then had an emergency caesarean section and the sick child was terminated in a three-hour operation.

The Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne would not confirm details, but said in a statement: "The Royal Women's Hospital can confirm a distressing clinical accident occurred on Tuesday. This is a terrible tragedy and the hospital is deeply sorry for the loss suffered by the patient and her family. We are conducting a full investigation and continue to offer the family and affected staff every support."

Hospital sources said the ultrasound clinician performed the procedure because "she looks at ultrasounds all day". Nevertheless, she made a mistake which had fatal consequences for two baby boys and left a family heartbroken.

The Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne apologized by claiming that “the ultrasound clinician checked three times before the “termination” because she didn't want to make a mistake. But if the hospital said it had followed correct procedure, then how on earth could this happen? Was the mother pressured into aborting the sick child rather than letting nature take its course?

This horrific accident once again underscores the fact that there is no such thing as a “safe abortion” which is really nothing but a thinly veiled euphemism for the murder of an innocent child.

The Herald Sun now believes the family is considering legal action against the Hospital.

A new CBC Poll: Should Canadians have the legal right to assisted suicide?

A B.C. woman, Gloria Taylor, who suffers from ALS is asking the B.C. Supreme Court to overturn Canada's laws and grant her wish to a doctor-assisted suicide.

Following the article on the CBC News website, the broadcaster is asking in a poll if "Canadians should have the legal right to an assisted suicide". If you love life as much as me, please vote no in this CBC opinion poll

Canada's assisted suicide laws challenged in B.C. Supreme Court

According to Canada's laws, it is illegal to counsel, aid or abet a person to commit suicide. The offence of having done so carries a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison. The last time, Canada's laws regarding assisted suicide were challenged was in the infamous Sue Rodriguez case, when she took her request for a doctor-assisted suicide to the Supreme Court of Canada. The Supreme Court ruled against her and Sue Rodgriguez found herself an anonymous doctor who was willing to assist her in defiance of the law.

Now a 63-year old B.C. woman with a fatal neurodegenerative disease will take her case to the B.C. Supreme Court today and ask them to overturn Canada's laws and grant her wish to a doctor-assisted suicide.

Gloria Taylor is suffering from ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease and wants to have the laws changed so she can die before she becomes incapacitated. Incidentally, Taylor is one of five plaintiffs in the case and their lawyers plan to argue that Canada's Criminal Code provisions are unconstitutional.Gloria Taylor

If doctor-assisted suicide becomes legal, it will certainly set a dangerous precedent where the criteria used to determine who "merits" a doctor-assisted death will follow more and more of a "slippery slope" and where a terminal illness is not necessarily the only admissible reason to end one's life.

Some U.S. states and four European countries have decriminalized euthanasia with disastrous consequences. As LifeSiteNews reported on October 24, the Royal Dutch Medical Association now interprets the 2002 Euthanasia Act as to include "mental and psychosocial ailments" such as "a loss of function, fatigue and loss of autonomy" as acceptable criteria for a euthanasia request.
A terminal illness thus is no longer requirement.

Pray for a Yes vote to Amendment 26: Tomorrow Mississippi voters could decide to outlaw abortion in their state

Tomorrow, November 8th, Mississipi voters will be called to vote on Amendment 26 to the U.S. Constitution, also called the "Mississippi Personhood Amendment". It would define life as beginning at the moment of fertilization, effectively outlawing the abortion procedure.

In an interview with The Christian Post, "Yes on 26" Executive Director Brad Prewitt said that the amendment dealt with issues beyond the abortion debate. “Personhood is bigger than your typical pro-life versus abortion,” said Prewitt, who added that it was “not just saying no to abortion, but yes to life.”

For more on this subject, read the rest of the article in the Christian Post: www.christianpost.com/news/mississippi-ballot-initiative-could-outlaw-abortion-58725

Planned Parenthood, who vehemently opposes the "Mississippi Personhood Amendment", is using misinformation and scare tactics to fool Mississippi voters into believing that if they voted yes to Amendment 26, all birth control would subsequently become outlawed. However, nothing could be further from the truth. This lie has been thoroughly debunked by the "YesOn26" campaign.

Bill C-510, also known as Roxanne's Law, will proceed to its first scheduled hour of debate at Second Reading on November 1st

From the Activate CFPL Blog:

Bill C-510, An Act to Prevent Coercion of Pregnant Women to Abortion, also known as Roxanne’s Law, was deemed by The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs as not designated as non-votable on October 19th. This passing of this very important stage means that the bill, which will criminalize the act of coercing or attempting to coerce a woman into having an unwanted abortion, will proceed to its first scheduled hour of debate at Second Reading on Monday, November 1st. This powerful, pro-woman and pro-life bill is named in honour of Roxanne Fernando, who was violently killed by her boyfriend after refusing to abort their child. C-510 was introduced by Winnipeg MP Rod Bruinooge. Mr. Bruinooge said the bill would only make it a crime to “coerce or attempt to coerce” a woman to have an abortion against her will. The Prime Minister’s Office was quick, however, to squelch any thought they would support C-510. “The government will not support the bill,” Harper spokesman Andrew MacDougall said in an interview. “Our Conservative government will not initiate or support any legislation that opens the abortion debate.” Because of the importance of this bill, 4 MY CANADA, a Christian Evangelical organization, is calling upon all Christians to stand united during two days of prayer and fasting (Sunday and Monday) to plead God's divine favour on MP Rod Bruinooge and the debate that is taking place in the House of Commons on Monday, November 1st. Below is a video that was aired on 100 Huntley Street, a Christian TV talk show, which explains the issues at stake, featuring interviews with MP Rodney Bruinooge and the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC).

The Abortion Issue - An Educational Video

This is a powerful new video on YouTube which raises awareness regarding the humanity of the (yet) unborn child. The video, in very simple terms, highlights the four ways the unborn child is different from a human being already born, and goes on to explain how these do not justify the killing of the unborn. It ends with a call to stand up for the unborn who cannot speak for themselves.
